PUBLIC AUTHORITY ADVISORY COMMITTEE (IHSS)

The purpose of the Advisory Committee is to provide ongoing advice and recommendations regarding IHSS to the County Board of Supervisors, any administrative body in the County that is related to the delivery and administration of IHSS, and the Directors and administrative agency of the IHSS Public Authority. Members of the Advisory Committee are appointed by the Board of Supervisors.

The composition requirements of the 10 member Advisory Committee were established as:

5 present or past users of personal assistance services;
2 IHSS workers/providers;
2 at large community members;
1 County ex officio member.

The Committee meets semi-annually and other times if needed.

Ordinance No. 5990 adopted May 22, 2012, amending the Sonoma County Code Section 2 - 362.
