PLANNING COMMISSION

The Planning Commission holds public hearings and makes recommendations to the Board of Supervisors concerning updates and amendments to the County's General Plan and zoning regulations. The Planning Commission also holds hearings and makes decisions on major subdivisions and mining proposals.

Ten members, two from each Supervisorial District the supervisor appoints two members who alternate between the Planning Commission and the Board of Zoning Adjustments so that each Supervisorial District has one appointee serving on each body at any given time
