The Sonoma County Community Development Commission (CDC) is governed by the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors, acting as the Commissioners of the CDC. The Community Development Committee (Committee) acts as an advisory group to the Commissioners. The Committee reviews and makes recommendations on policy and funding matters to come before the Commission.   • Duties

    To review and make recommendations on all matters to come before the Sonoma County Community Development Commission prior to Commission action, except emergency matters and matters which the Committee by resolution excludes from Committee review and recommendation (non-tenant members also sit as a Relocation Appeals Board, as needed)

  • Membership Composition

    Eight members: seven appointed by Board of Supervisors (BOS), two of whom shall be tenants of the Housing Authority. One such tenant shall be at least 62 years of age. One member shall be appointed by the Human Services Department Director. Each member of the BOS shall nominate one person from his/her supervisorial district. The tenant members shall be nominated by the six members first appointed by the Board and Human Services Director.
