EMERGENCY COUNCIL

To study, revise and recommend to the Board of Supervisors for adoption the Sonoma County Emergency Plan. Additionally, the council reviews and recommends action upon all proposed mutual aid agreements with the United States, State of California, other political subdivisions, corporations, and groups or individuals.
The Emergency Council also reviews and recommends the adoption of such ordinances, resolutions, rules and regulations as may be necessary to implement the County Emergency Plan or other mutual aid agreement entered into pursuant to such plan.

Chairman of the Board of Supervisors, Emergency Services Director, Fire and Emergency Services Director, Sonoma County Sheriff, General Services Dept Director, Information Services (Communications) Dept Director, Health Services Dept Director, Human Resources Dept Director, Human Services Dept, Permit & Resource Management Dept Director, Transportation & Public Works Dept Director, Sonoma County Water Agency, Coastal Valleys EMS Agency; nine city/town members: one from each incorporated city within Sonoma County appointed annually by the respective city council; public utilities; one representative of public schools in the County appointed by County Superintendent of Schools; one member at large, American Red Cross, California National Guard, United States Coast Guard, CAL FIRE, California Office of Emergency Services, California Highway Patrol, Santa Rosa Junior College District, and Sonoma State University.

At least semi-annually - the location of the meeting varies.
