  • Compensation

    Members of the Board of Trustees serve without compensation, but are provided with an allowance to defray expenses while on official business (not to exceed $100 per month) in accordance with the California Health and Safety Code Section 2030(b).   • Authority

    May 25, 1915: California State Legislature passed the Mosquito Abatement Act. This act permitted local governments to collect revenues and form special districts to protect the public from mosquitoes and mosquito-borne diseases.
