Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission

BOS District appointees serve four (4) year terms of service.
Youth Members appointed by the five BOS members serve two (2) year terms of service.

Per BOS Resolution 16-0263 July 12 2016 item (k) Four Commissioners shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business.

Acts in advisory capacity to the Board of Supervisors in promoting, aiding and encouraging public recreation, including the development of recreation, park and open space facilities acts in advisory capacity to Regional Parks Director in the maintenance, development and operation of recreation areas and facilities serving the residents of the county establish general procedures to carry out the purpose of the commission

Seven commissioners, five of which shall be individually nominated by each Supervisor and two of which shall be youth members appointed by the five individually appointed commissioners. Youth Representative age requirement is 18-24 years old and appointed by the Regional Parks and Recreation Department.

Commissioners shall serve without compensation. Mileage reimbursement and meal reimbursement *only when a meeting overlaps a meal period*
