PARKS AND RECREATION ADVISORY COMMISSION

Acts in advisory capacity to the Board of Supervisors in promoting, aiding and encouraging public recreation, including the development of recreation, park and open space facilities acts in advisory capacity to Regional Parks Director in the maintenance, development and operation of recreation areas and facilities serving the residents of the county establish general procedures to carry out the purpose of the commission

Seven commissioners, five of which shall be individually nominated by each Supervisor and two of which shall be youth members appointed by the five individually appointed commissioners. Youth Representative age requirement is 18-24 years old and appointed by the Regional Parks and Recreation Department.

Every other month on the third Monday at our Sonoma County Regional Parks main office located at 2300 County Center Drive, Rm 212, Santa Rosa CA 95403. We meet from 5-7pm. Board of Supervisors: Resolution 90-0534, adopted 03/27/90 which formed a 5 member board. Resolution 16-0263 replaced 90-0534 on 7/12/21016.
